Christmas Cards

It’s that time of year where everyone seems to be getting into the whole Christmas Card thing. To be honest, I am no different. I have used the option of ordering printed Christmas Cards this year. Vistaprint has some fantastic Christmas Cards (as well as a variety of different greeting cards). This website can also be used to print business cards, invitations, stationery, and a whole heap more. Through them, I have designed this card to send out to my loved ones 🙂

Vistaprint has been up and running for 15 years, and is one of the best for producing products in high quantities. Vistaprint is a great option if you were wanting to send Cards to your loved ones this Silly Season. One alternative available to you are to good ol’ e-greeting card. 123 Greetings still seems to be the most popular choice for e-greeting cards, if you feel you want to email a card to someone, rather than classic snail mail.

Another alternative I’m rather fond of is the CanTeen Christmas Card scheme. CanTeen supports teenagers with cancer and their families during and after treatment, and cards are designed by the teenagers with cancer, as well as the siblings of teenagers who have passed on from cancer. If you wished to support a charity this Christmas, then this would be a perfect way of showing your support :).

Of course, there was my first choice, which was making the cards yourself. Be warned, this does sound like a much better idea than it actually is. It can be a bottomless pit of money for supplies, and it does take up a lot of time. So if you plan on sending a large number of cards, or you don’t have the time to sit down and make them, then it’s best to go with one of my prior options.

I hope everyone is starting to feel the Christmas spirit, and feels like sharing it around a little bit 😉

Christmas 2012 / Christmas Gift Ideas

Like many people, I’m making the mad dash to get ready for Christmas. In doing my research for this post, I stumbled across the New Zealand website Sale Finder, which is looking promising to me for finding the perfect gifts for my loved ones this year :).

This website collates store uncatalogued from 40 different retailers in New Zealand, from Postie Plus to K Mart, Pascoes Jewelry to Baby City, and Stevens Home and Giving to Life Pharmacy. I don’t think I’m going to be stuck for ideas this Christmas!

I have an 8 year old girl and a 6 year old boy to buy for this year, and I was browsing through the toy section of this website when I stumbled across this:

Barbie Sleepover Kit

I’m surprised that Barbie Dolls, and related items, are still as popular as they were when I was an 8 year old little girl. Given that these are still popular, my best guess is that Barbie Dolls are still a good guess for any little girl :). This, or common sense tells me that anything to do with these guys will be a hit:

One Direction

Anything to do with boy band One Direction seems to be a big hit with young girls right now 😉

Also, anything to do with this young man Justin Bieber here still seems to be popular 😉

Items from any of these marketable young men will surely be a hit with any young lady you have to buy for this Christmas.

I also have a young Master Six to buy for this year, and he is absolutely obsessed with Moshi Monsters at the moment. A quick search on Sale Finder didn’t fail me when this came up:

Um, I’m not entirely sure what this is, but the advertisement says it is a ‘Moshi Monsters Blister Pack’, but that offers no explanation to me what it actually is. Hmm….

For me? Well, I’m a bit of an oddball when it comes to gifts. I love anything that I can cook delicious meals in or use to make myself look/feel good. Stevens is actually one of my favourite stores ever, and I never fail to find something that I would consider sacrificing a limb for, such as this:

Who doesn’t like cake, right?

But if you happen to be a New Zealand resident, Do give Sale Finder a thought. You never know what Christmas presents you might find for your Young Lady, Little Man, Significant Other or the Mummies and Daddies in your life.

First Day of Work

So I had my first day my Summer job today. The women, R, who lives down the road from me grows strawberries and has kindly offered me some casual work helping her pick strawberries

Best part about this job, is that you even get to ‘sample’ the produce while your picking before they go off to be packed for sale ;). So much excite ;).

My favourite thing for strawberries are Chocolate Strawberries 🙂

Wedding Chocolate Strawberries

YUMMMMYYYY!!!

Another of my favourite things for Christmas are chocolate strawberries. They taste so good and the fresh, intense flavour is complimented by the chocolate sauce :). My Favourite!

Make sure you check out my Related Articles, which include some awesome ideas for strawberries 😀

Andrew Hore

During the match between Wales and the All Blacks, All Black Andrew Hore ‘Clotheslined’ Welsh Lock Bradley Davies, which left him concussed and unconcious after said incident. Post match, Bradley Davies has gone to hospital for concussion treatment.

Just to clarify, the New Zealand Rugby community does NOT condone this sort of behaviour. We think it’s disgusting and unnecessary and there are no shortage of people who would be more than happy for his days as a Man in Black to end.

That is all. As you were.

Points to make:

Since the 2011 Rugby World Cup, Wales have turned to shit, having lost their last five games. This could be attributed to the temporary loss of Warren Gatland. Both teams are affected by the ‘Walking Wounded’, with the All Blacks losing the use of Keven Mealamu (calf), Tamati Ellison (foot) and Beauden Barrett (ribs) but more famously losing Dan Carter to a calf twinge during training. Wales have lost the use of George North, Richard Hibbard, Dan Biggar, and Ian Evans.

I must say, I am looking forward to a good match up 😉

Skyfall

So, I went to see James Bond Skyfall on Thursday. I’d been very much excited for seeing this movie for quite some time before its New Zealand release, and I can legit say that it has lived up to my expectations ;).

At the beginning of the film, the shit completely hits the fan when M (played by Judi Dench) has to face up and justify her decision to authorize the shot (fired by Eve) that was meant for bad guy Patrice (who had stolen a computer hard drive with the identities of all MI6 agents). Eve shoots, and ends up killing Blond-Guy-Bond (Played by Daniel Craig in his third appearance as James Bond) instead, who goes into retirement, but is presumed dead.

Just to go on a tangent for one sec, I found this quite funny.

Anyways, Someone gets hold of the hard drive info, and uses it to blow up the headquarters of MI6, much to M’s dismay. Pretty much what you’d expect from a James Bond movie, with all the bang bangs and  beautiful ladies (with BĂ©rĂ©nice Marlohe as Severine, and Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny) and Judi Dench appearing in her final James Bond movie as M, with Ralph Fiennes taking over the reins of M, having played Gareth Mallory up until that point.

I quite enjoyed this movie, and I think if your a James Bond fan, you would enjoy it too.

Do make a point of checking out Adele’s theme song of the same name.

Sorry Guys :(

Hi everyone,

Sorry for ducking out on you all again 😩 . Things have been really hectic over the past few months with University studies and just the troublesome life stuff but I am back now and I am better than ever 😀

What’s been new with me? Well, I’ve finished up Uni for the year, on the hunt for a job, and dropped 8kgs by going hard at the gym! This is how I feel about it all:

Yay for life!

I’ve been putting in all my hard work with the good ol’ crew and Contours Women’s Gym in Hamilton, New Zealand.

These ladies have been the inspiration to make the change in my life, and get rid of the weight that has been bothering me for some time. I’m so glad about losing the 8kgs that I just felt like sharing it all with you :D.  This is one things that I have been very excited about lately, and I can’t wait to shed the weight, little by little :).

On the Uni front, I’ve been working really hard and getting my good grades 🙂 Lots of A’s and B’s to keep me happy and stress free until next year comes around! But now it’s time for me to get cracking on my Christmas Cards!

I have ordered my Christmas Cards, and I expect them to be here on December 7, so I better get my envelopes completely sorted, to ensure for a quick send out! But here is my design! (with my real name blocked out ;))

Krash's Khristmas Kard

I always love this time of year, and the weather is always something that I love about this time of year. One of my favourite memories from my childhood was sitting on the beach at Mount Maunganui with my Dad while we waited for our fish and chips, with an ice cream from the dairy down the street 🙂

Omanu Beach

Hmm, I wonder why I loved it so much? 😉 check out that view! lol.

Anyways, That’s about all that’s been going on in my life, talk to you all soon! xx
